A Place for All
“This is what God’s kingdom is like: a bunch of outcasts and oddballs gathered at a table, not because they are rich or worthy or good, but because they are hungry, because they said yes. And there’s always room for more.” ― Rachel Held Evans, Searching for Sunday: Loving, Leaving, and Finding the Church Scroll Down to Learn MoreNext Steps

Thomas Talks
Something brought you here just now. Maybe you know what you’re looking for. Maybe you can’t name it. Whatever the reason, something gave you a nudge that landed you here, and for your presence and that nudge, we give thanks.
Maybe you’re searching for a church home. Maybe you’re new to the community. Maybe you just haven’t found one yet that’s a good fit for you or your family. Maybe you’re not sure what makes a church feel like a home, so you’re taking time to explore your options.
Maybe you’ve found yourself doubting your faith, your beliefs, “the church” you grew up in, or even “the church” in general. Maybe the answers you’ve been given by the church have brought you more questions than before you received them.
Thomas Talks was established for you. It’s where we open up about our doubts, our disbelief, our questions, and where we talk through them and work together to find answers. Thomas Talks is virtual, meeting online through Zoom or live on TikTok, and will resume in mid-September with day and time to be announced. You don’t have to be a member to join in. You just have to have doubts (and we all do!). Stay tuned for more information coming soon!
“But the gospel doesn’t need a coalition devoted to keeping the wrong people out. It needs a family of sinners, saved by grace, committed to tearing down the walls, throwing open the doors, and shouting, “Welcome! There’s bread and wine. Come eat with us and talk.” This isn’t a kingdom for the worthy; it’s a kingdom for the hungry.”
― Rachel Held Evans, Searching for Sunday: Loving, Leaving, and Finding the Church
Blessed are the wonderers with the courage to live into the questions. Seems to me that sooner or later, whether we like the outcome or not, theirs is the answer. – Sarah Bessey

Missions, Outreach, Ministries & More
Whether you’re certain of your faith or certain “church” isn’t for you, maybe you have an urge to dig deeper than that 15 minute message on Sunday mornings. Maybe we’ve got just the thing at Mission Central.
Pray.Act.Give. is the opportunity to carry out mission, to be the hands and feet of Christ or just a socially conscious really good person who wants to help and heal others. Your terms. Your timeframe. Your choice. We provide information on our own on-site missions and community outreach, on other missions, organizations, and causes we support, as well as ways you can research and find your own. The rest is up to you and what you feel called to do.

Growing Closer Yet with God
Maybe your faith is strong, but you’re feeling God’s call to do more. Maybe we can help guide you to the resources you need to discern your calling, and then point you toward the resources you need to act on it.
“Stop waiting for someone else to say that you count, that you matter, that you have worth, that you have a voice, a place, that you are called. Don’t you know, darling? The One who knit you together in your mother’s womb is the one singing these words over you, you are chosen.”
― Sarah Bessey, Jesus Feminist: An Invitation to Revisit the Bible’s View of Women
“Set out, pilgrim. Set out into the freedom and the wandering. Find your people. God is much bigger, wilder, more generous, and more wonderful than you imagined.” – Sarah Bessey

Learning Opportunities
Maybe you’re fairly certain of your faith but have an urge to dig deeper than that 15 minute message on Sunday mornings. Maybe we’ve got just the thing.
VIRTUAL STUDY OPPORTUNITIES
Worship takes many forms and is something we’re encouraged to do continuously. We’ve had to suspend our small group activities in 2023 while repairs were being made to the church, but we’ll roll them back out after the first of the year. You can learn more about them on the Virtual Study Group link.
