Regular Sunday morning in-person worship begins at 11 a.m. each Sunday morning, followed by fellowship. Doors open at 10:30 a.m.
All Union Grove events and activities are gatherings that affirm every gender, sexuality, gender presentation and background. While we are a Methodist (Christian church), we welcome every spirituality, faith tradition, or those choosing to be without a faith tradition to gather with us for friendship and fellowship in a safe place.
Sunday morning worship is more “traditional” in nature. Communion is offered to all who wish to receive it at most Union Grove UMC in-person worship services. Kids young and old are welcome. Membership is not required. We encourage you to come as your authentic self!

All worship services are live-streamed on our Facebook page and are available on-demand there and here on our site.
VIRTUAL WORSHIP
For those who are unable to attend our in-person worship services due to conflicting work schedules, physical difficulties, or health risks, we are a “hybrid” church, continuing to provide online worship & activities. Worship services are currently live-streamed in real time through our Facebook page. The Facebook recordings are eventually embedded here on our website along with a transcript of the scriptures and message.
In addition to our online worship services, we also maintain active social media presences on Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and TikTok.

He makes all things new, and that’s especially true at Union Grove. We’ve wiped the slate clean and are in the process of building a new Union Grove Beloved Community and living into our new mission.

fellowship following worship
Come and break bread with us! Join us for a potluck fellowship luncheon the first Sunday of each month following worship. Bring a main dish and side dish in sufficient quantity for the number of people in your group. Desserts are optional. Drinks and tableware provided. Let us break bread together!
Communion
At weekly worship & High Holy Days
At Union Grove and all United Methodist Churches, the Lord’s Table is open to all who wish to receive communion. Communion is offered as part of our regular Sunday worship and on other appropriate holy days. Virtual worshippers are invited to participate by having juice and bread available wherever you are worshipping.

Bruno Mission and Ministry Online Fundraising Auction
Help us support our Bruno Mission & Ministries by participating in our online auction beginning May 3 through May 26! All crosses are handcrafted, are 5″ high by 4″ wide, and can be held, hung, or worn as a pectoral cross. Each cross has a “Buy Now” option for those of you who can’t wait for the end of the auction. The crosses would make great gifts for graduates, confirmands, and ordinands. Bruno Mission provides short-term transitional housing for the unhoused in Blount County in cooperation with “A Place to Stay.”
